To monitor the implementation of Korea’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) through its University Twinning and Networking (UNITWIN) project, a delegation from the Korean Embassy in the Philippines led by 1st Secretary and ODA’s Officer-in-charge, Mr. Hyun-tae Song, together with Secretaries Ms. Soomin Oh and Ms. Davin Choi, visited the UP College of Education (UPCEd) on November 21, 2024. They were welcomed by UPCEd Dean, Dr. Jerome Buenviaje, Division of Curriculum and Instruction Chair, Dr. Leonor Diaz, and Planning, Research, Publication, Extension, and Linkages (PRPEL) Administrative Officer, Ms. Camille Adriano.
Their meeting focused on monitoring the progress of the UNITWIN initiatives between UPCEd and the Korea National University of Education (KNUE), where the Embassy officials assessed how well the project is meeting its objectives, such as fostering academic cooperation, promoting research initiatives, and addressing community needs. UPCEd’s future plans for the project were also discussed.
The Memorandum of Understanding between UPCEd and KNUE was signed in April 2022.
