The UPCEAA invites you to attend the UP College of Education Grand Alumni
Homecoming on the 26th of June 2011, Sunday, at the Bahay ng Alumni (along Magsaysay Avenue, behind the University Theatre) starting at 1:00 in the afternoon.
This year we are honouring the following:
1) JUBILARIANS (Diamond, 1951; Golden, 1961; Ruby, 1971; Silver,
1986);
2) DISTINGUISHED LEADERS and OUTSTANDING ALUMNI of the
College of Education;
3) ALL ALUMNI AND FACULTY of the College.
This special event is about rekindling friendships, sweet reminiscing of the past and creation of new memories, as we get nostalgic for the “SWINGING ‘60s.”
We were able to solicit lots of fabulous door prizes for our Grand Alumni
Homecoming. We will be giving away a washing machine, a television set, a twoburner gas cooker, a two-burner electric cooker, a round trip plane ticket to Honking for two, a round trip plane ticket to Cebu for two, among others. We will also be entertained by the youthful and energetic, THE BLOOMFIELDS BAND, renowned in the Philippines for reviving the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s music.
To make this event colourful, we encourage you to come in outfits that were
highly fashionable in the ‘60s such as wide collars, flair pants, mini-skirts, muumuu, elephant pants, Jackie Onassis sunglasses and beehive hairstyle, and so on… The Jubilarians and alumni batches are encouraged to showcase their talents consistent with the ‘60s theme.
Prizes are at stake for the following:
– Best in Group Costume (60s)
– Best Group Presentation
– Biggest Batch in Attendance (at least 10 pax)
– Best Picture Collage by a Batch/Class ( Best Days of our Lives in UP)
Size: 4ft x 6ft Medium: Any (including computer-aided graphics printed in
tarpaulin)
– Best Costume ( by an alumnus or alumna)
– Most “ANCIENT” Memorabilia Award- Oldest UP College of Education

– Laude Awards- Bring your diploma that states you are a Summa, Magna or Cum Laude and you get a prize!!!
– THE EARLY BIRDS AWARD: first ten (10) alumni to arrive and register at the venue on June 26, 2011 will receive a surprise kitchen appliance gift as a token of appreciation for coming early. (UPCEAA officers and committee members are not included).
To support this big event and our sumptuous merienda cena together, please register early. There is a registration fee of P350.00/pax . If you would like to bring a companion to our grand homecoming, please make sure that he/she is at least 14 years old. The companion will be charged the same registration fee.

During our homecoming, we will launch the Benitez Hall Theatre Renovation Fund Raising Campaign. The Benitez Hall Theatre is actually in shambles and we need to join hands to do something about this!
We shall raise funds through a raffle draw where ONE (1) CONDOMINIUM UNIT will be given away as the Grand Prize, ONE (1) TOYOTA VIOS, (10) TEN MAC BOOK COMPUTERS, and other appliances, furniture, vacation packages as consolation prizes. The raffle draw will be in October 2012. We enjoin you to go an extra mile for our beloved College of Education. We will not be who we are today if not for our beloved College!! It’s time to give back, not just money, but your time as well. We need extra hands to make this monumental project succeed.
