Thesis and Dissertation Grant

Important Reminders
  1. The number of grantees will vary from year to year depending on the available funding.
  2. Since the funding for thesis and dissertation grant is limited, applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  3. Approved grantees will be asked to sign a document which details the responsibilities of the grantee and the College.

Eligibility

Graduate students (MAEd and PhDEd) may apply for the grant as long as they:

  1. Have successfully defended their thesis/dissertation outline
  2. Have a GWA of 1.75 or better
  3. Have been in their respective programs for not more than 8 years
Requirements
  1. Letter of application, endorsed by the adviser, addressed to the Scholarship Sub-Committee
  2. Accomplished application form (https://educ.upd.edu.ph/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/research-grant-application-form.pdf)
  3. Timeline of activities, endorsed by the adviser
  4. Duly signed approval sheet of the outline
  5. GWA Certification from the Office of the College Secretary
  6. Current Form 5
Procedure
  1. Submit all requirements to the Office of the College Secretary through educosec.updiliman@up.edu.ph with subject title:
    Thesis/Dissertation Grant Application_Surname, First Name.
  2. The Scholarship Committee will deliberate on the applications.
  3. The Office of the College Secretary will communicate to the student after a decision has been made.
